Created to provide nostalgic eats for the washed-up New Yorker, Cityslicker takes you on an immersive culinary experience through Manhattan. From the soulful streets of Harlem to the street cart vendors on Wall Street, this book delivers you the best recipes the city has to offer, all via NYC's beloved subway.
Cityslicker is your very own golden ticket a la metro card to a culinary journey through Manhattan. Inspired by New York's iconic subway map, the route kicks off from the northern neighborhoods, cruising down to the tip of the island. Each subway stop offers a recipe of a delicious dish straight from my favorite restaurants. The sounds, smells and sights of Manhattan inspired me to craft visuals that embody the city's vibrant colors, magnificent chaos, and irresistible energy.
The recipe layouts mirror the ordered design of Manhattan's street grid, while vibrant photographs embody the distinct flavor and energy of each neighborhood.
